Key Takeaways

  • Zimyo suits an existing employer combining HR and payroll; Enterprise lists global payroll, and the company describes a Dubai WPS implementation.
  • Zimyo global payroll does not answer who legally employs the worker; confirm scope for each work country.
  • Every published tier has a 50-user billing minimum; Borderless AI EOR is a separate option when an overseas employee needs a local employer.

An India payroll run can involve attendance adjustments, arrears, employee tax declarations and several statutory deductions. Zimyo addresses that workload through payroll software connected to HR administration. Its appeal is keeping routine employee management and salary processing together.

The comparison changes when your next employee needs a legal employer in another country. Borderless AI's EOR service supports international employment without establishing your own local entity. That is a different purchase from automating payroll for people you already employ.

Zimyo also advertises global payroll. The useful decision is therefore about your employment setup, required country and service scope, rather than a simple local-versus-global label.

Where Zimyo makes sense

Zimyo deserves consideration when an existing employer wants to bring HR records and recurring payroll work into one system. Its payroll product lists salary structures, variable earnings, arrears, bonuses, reimbursements, payslips and employee access to payroll history.

For India, the documented statutory features include PF and ESI configuration, state-specific professional tax, Labour Welfare Fund contributions and TDS computation. Those are meaningful payroll capabilities. Moving to an EOR solely to replace salary calculations would change the employment arrangement as well as the software.

The practical test is your own payroll run: ask Zimyo to demonstrate a retrospective salary change, an unpaid-leave adjustment and the resulting statutory reports. Check which steps your team still approves or files, and which services are included in the proposal.

Is Zimyo only for India?

No. Zimyo's Enterprise plan explicitly lists global payroll, and its TVG Realtors case describes a Dubai implementation with WPS and Salary Information File features. It would be inaccurate to describe the product as India-only.

That does not make every country interchangeable. A US, Canadian or UK headquarters should request the payroll scope for each employee's work country. Ask about gross-to-net calculations, statutory reporting, payment execution and local support. India-specific tax features do not establish the capabilities of another country's payroll engine.

Also separate processing pay from providing an employer. Zimyo's own payroll outsourcing explanation distinguishes payroll administration from supplying a local employer of record. In a proposal, identify the organization signing the employment agreement and taking the employer role.

What does Zimyo cost?

As checked on October 19, 2026, Zimyo's pricing page displays Basic at ₹80, Standard at ₹160 and Enterprise at ₹240 per user per month. Each has minimum billing for 50 users. At the displayed rates, that implies monthly subscription baselines of ₹4,000, ₹8,000 and ₹12,000 respectively, before applicable taxes, extras or negotiated terms.

The minimum matters if you have only a handful of employees. Global Payroll appears under Enterprise; payouts are listed separately with a sales-contact prompt. Confirm the final package, country scope and disbursement charges before budgeting.

A software subscription and an EOR fee cover different work. Compare Zimyo with a payroll proposal when you already have the employer setup. For EOR, request the service fee separately from salary, employer contributions and benefits so you can see the full employment cost.

When Borderless AI is relevant

If a planned overseas employee needs an employer and you do not want to establish your own entity, assess Borderless AI for that hire. Under its EOR arrangement, the EOR legally employs the worker while your company directs day-to-day work. Confirm availability and the employment terms in the particular country.

You may also keep Zimyo for an established workforce and use an EOR for employees elsewhere. Treat this as an operating choice: decide where employee changes are recorded, who approves variable pay and how each provider's costs reach accounting. Budget the administration of both systems.

If your existing employer setup already works and the problem is attendance, salary calculations or HR administration, Zimyo remains a relevant shortlist candidate. If the missing piece is an employer for a new international hire, discuss the EOR scope with Borderless AI before buying another payroll module.
