A missed shift adjustment can become a payroll problem before it becomes an HR report. For a business running plants, stores or hospitals in India, Wallet HR's appeal starts with connecting workforce records to payday. Its HCM platform is built around multi-location, multi-shift operations.
That is a different buying decision from finding an employer for a new overseas employee. Borderless AI's EOR service supports international employment without setting up your own local entity, covering employment agreements, onboarding, payroll, taxes and benefits.
If you already employ your Indian workforce and need better payroll operations, Wallet HR deserves a focused evaluation. If the missing piece is a legal employer for a hire abroad, evaluate Borderless AI for that hire. An existing payroll system may still have a role.
What changes with each option?
Where Wallet HR fits an existing Indian employer
Wallet HR's payroll features include configurable salary components, PF, ESI and TDS deductions, payslips, final settlements and approval controls. Its payroll engine pulls attendance, leave and loan data into the calculation process.
For an operations team, the useful demo is a real payroll exception: an employee changes shifts, takes leave and has a deduction adjusted before approval. Ask the vendor to show the resulting payslip, approval history and finance output. This reveals more about fit than a generic tour of dashboards.
Wallet HR describes a strategic partnership with TeamLease Services Limited. There is also a choice between operating software and buying a service: TeamLease distinguishes Wallet HR from TeamLease HCM's managed payroll offering. Ask which team would process your payroll, which tasks remain with your staff and what the contract includes. Do not assume that selecting a Wallet HR module automatically buys outsourced processing.
Does Wallet HR support international payroll?
Wallet HR markets HR software in Kenya and the UAE, alongside its Indian offering. These pages describe payroll configuration and wider HR functions. They do not provide a country-by-country specification of statutory calculations, filings and payment services.
Treat the employee's work country as a separate requirement from your company's headquarters. A US, Canadian or UK buyer evaluating an Indian subsidiary's payroll needs Indian functionality. Buying from one of those countries does not establish that the same product processes that country's payroll.
For an overseas rollout, request a country-specific demonstration covering gross-to-net calculations, statutory outputs, payment delivery and the party responsible for filings. Ask for the exact edition and service scope in writing.
What if you need to hire without a local entity?
Start with who will employ the person. Under Borderless AI's EOR model, the EOR becomes the legal employer while the customer directs the employee's daily work. That addresses an employment requirement beyond payroll calculation.
If you already have the employer infrastructure in the destination country, compare payroll services instead. Borderless also offers global payroll, which should be scoped separately from EOR. A payroll outsourcing proposal and an EOR proposal should identify different responsibilities, even when both include running payroll.
A company could retain Wallet HR for its established Indian workforce and use Borderless for an overseas employee who needs an EOR. Agree how employee records and costs reach finance; do not assume the products connect automatically.
How should you compare pricing and implementation?
Wallet HR's plans page lists Basic, Standard, Professional and Enterprise. Payroll, attendance, leave and Core HR appear in all four. Mobile applications and the employee information portal start at Standard; recruitment and HR analytics start at Professional. The page does not list monetary prices.
Request a quote for the modules your team will actually use, plus data migration, configuration, training and any managed payroll work. Before signing, establish who validates opening balances and historical data, how a parallel payroll will be checked, and who resolves discrepancies before the first live run.
For Borderless, request the relevant service fee separately from salary, statutory employer costs and benefits. Comparing a software subscription with the entire cost of employing someone would give a misleading result.
Wallet HR is a relevant candidate when attendance-linked payroll and Indian workforce administration are the problem. Borderless AI becomes relevant when the decision concerns overseas employment responsibility. Define that responsibility first, then compare the product and service scope needed to deliver it.
