Termination Process

The reason for termination must be a reason that is stated in the Armenia's labor laws. For example, employee is not able to perform job duties, unexcused absences, and fraud.

Notice period

The notice period is determined by the length of employment.

  • Employees who worked for at least 1 year: 2 weeks
  • Employees who worked for 1 - 5 years: 35 days
  • Employees who worked for 5 - 10 years: 42 days
  • Employees who worked for 10 - 15 years: 49 days
  • Employees who worked for more than 15 years: 60 days

Probation Period

Probation period is not a must in Armenia. The maximum probation period is 3 months.

Severance Details

Severance package depends on the length of employment and the reason for termination. The average severance pay ranges from two weeks' salary to one month's salary.
