EOT, is short for End of Thread. It’s a phrase commonly used in online discussions to indicate the end of a discussion. Generally, EOT is used when a discussion has reached its natural end, or when it’s veered off course. It can also be helpful when a discussion is no longer productivie. 

EOT is often used by moderators to bring a concise end to a discussion and to encourage participants to move onto another one.
